Birth Certificate

A birth certificate is an official certified copy of the registration data relating to the birth of a child. It is used as a document to assist in establishing an individual’s identity. Birth Certificates are required for acquiring a passport, driver’s permit, marriage licence and school enrolment. Nationals can apply for the new Electronic Birth Certificate through the Consulate General in Toronto.
